Calling all SJCET students! Are you a tech enthusiast with a knack for problem-solving? We're inviting all aspiring innovators to take part in the Internal Hackathon, the gateway to Smart India Hackathon 2025.
Form your team, pick a problem statement, and submit online to join the campus prelims.

• Date & Time: Oct 9th, 5 PM to Oct 10th, 11 AM
• Registration Fee: ₹250 per head (Only for selected participants)
• Application Deadline: Oct 8th, 1 PM

Internal Hackathon Workflow
Step 1
Form Your Team
Form a team with 6 members with at least one female member. All team members must be SJCET students from any branch. Cross-branch collaboration is encouraged to bring diverse skills together.
Registration Fee: ₹250 per head (Only for selected participants)
Step 2
Choose Problem Statement
Browse through the official SIH 2025 problem statements and select one that aligns with your team's skills and interests. Problem statements are provided by various government departments and organizations.
Note: Choose problem statements only from the official SIH portal with deadline on Oct 15.
Step 3
Submit Online
Submit your team details and chosen problem statement online through the registration link. Make sure to complete your submission before the deadline.

What is Smart India Hackathon?
The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is an annual nationwide initiative by the Indian government that challenges students to solve real-world problems using technology. Organized since 2017 by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, it provides a unique platform for university students to develop innovative software and hardware solutions to tackle pressing issues identified by government ministries, public sector undertakings, and private industries. The event fosters a culture of product innovation, encourages a problem-solving mindset, and enhances technical, analytical, and practical skills through a competitive, time-bound format. Winning teams receive significant recognition and can also get incubation support to develop their prototypes into viable startups
Internal Hackathon Guidelines
All team members must be SJCET students. Cross-branch collaboration is encouraged to bring diverse skills and perspectives together. Open exclusively for SJCET students.
Each team should consist of 6 members, with at least one female member to promote gender diversity and inclusive innovation.
Teams must submit their details and chosen problem statement online by the deadline: Oct 8th, 1 PM. Shortlist announcement will be made by 10 PM the same day.
Event will be held at Einstein Hall, SJCET Palai from Oct 9th, 5 PM to Oct 10th, 11 AM - an overnight innovation challenge where creativity meets execution.

Shortlisted teams from the internal prelims will be nominated to represent SJCET at Smart India Hackathon 2025.
